No. 5072 - Amtrak - Chicago, Ill.

The daily Amtrak Pere Marquette has just departed Union to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Crossing Lumber Street and the Canal Street Lift Bridge over the foggy South Branch of the Chicago River, just south of Union Station. This lift bridge was built in 1914 by the Pennsylvania Railroad and once held the title of having the heaviest lift bridge main span.
