A school bus loads children at the stop near the church as an empty coal train works its way back into the McDowell County coal fields. The train catches a red signal and comes to a stop just before the crossing in Keystone, WV. They will only remain stopped for a couple of minutes which was plenty of time for the bus to cross the tracks and continue their school bus route through town. The next stop is just out of frame between the tracks and highway 52. The sun has yet to reach into the valley as the homes above the town sit in shadow.
